Time to take responsibility

Les brown said “Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.”

We are a country where more than fifty percent population is comprised on people who are between 16 to 30 years of age.

Despite this huge majority of the young people, the country is still trailing far behind as compared to other super nations of the world. Why?

Major reason behind this dilemma is that our youth has lost its national pride and do not care about their responsibility towards Pakistan because a huge percentage of young people do not even want to live in this country. A youngster of today is expected to become a responsible citizen of tomorrow but unfortunately, the younger generation seems to be years away from that maturity .If youth of Pakistan continue to shy away from their responsibilities then how can we expect that this country could produce renowned scientists, engineers, political leaders?

Unfortunately no one tells them that if they give up on themselves, they will give up on their country .No one tells them that every single one of them has something they are good at, every single one of our youth has something to offer .No one helps them to discover that something.

No one tells them they are not stupid when they get bad grades, it just means they need to study more, No one tells them not to be afraid to ask question and if they ask help it’s not the sign of weakness, it’s the sign of strength .No one will tell them the only thing can help them is education and if they failed over and over and over again this will be the reason one day they will succeed.

Now it’s time we should follow our dream, A dream where we struggle with dignity and discipline not with violence. Its time our youth should rise up and needs to take responsibility.

A responsibility to eliminate injustice and oppression. A responsibility where we stick together and be united as one nation.

We dare not forget today that how we got our freedom; we dare not forget that the torch has been passed to us, born in this country tempered by terrorism, violence, extremism .let us remember our history ,let us show we can still make a change ,let everyone know ,we are ready to pay any price ,bear any burden ,meet any hardship to fulfil our responsibility .

Let me make this pledge because in our hands will rest the failure and success of our country. Let us say bye to class divisions where one child can have the best standard of education while other can hardly afford to pay the fee. Let us live by each other’s happiness not misery.

We the youngsters have the power ,the power to change everything .let us fight for a new Pakistan where everyone gets equal opportunity ,a decent Pakistan where no corrupt man can rule on us ,where no dictator can enslave us .let no one treat us like cattle’s .let us all make a pledge to fulfil the dreams of Quaid e-azam .let us fight to free our country from corruption ,to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance .let us fight for a country where science and progress will lead us to happiness.

Let us be the hope of our country .we need to come out of darkness into the light ,let us climb the stair ,let us take the first step .we will make a new Pakistan we need to rise above our hate and intolerance .where we have peace and prosperity .where we spread love and humanity.where education is free ,where we are treated with respect no matter what our religion is ,let us strive to gain knowledge because knowledge makes us human .

Let us all have wings of hope, hope of a new future that belongs to you, to me and to all of us. let us seek the wonders of science ,conquer and explore space ,eradicate disease and misery ,explore the depths of oceans and encourage arts ,let us follow the real heroes ,heroes who have made a difference ,heroes like Einstein .

Let us show we are responsible youth of Pakistan. Don’t give up on yourself .don’t give up on our country Pakistan.
